The Sarnoff Cardiovascular Research Foundation's Alumni Leadership Retreat will take place February 20-21, 2009, at the Washington Duke Inn & Golf Club in Durham, North Carolina.
The Leadership Retreat is a 1 ½ day program designed specifically for Sarnoff Alumni. This program is designed to help Sarnoff Alumni:
- Gain greater insight into personal leadership capabilities
- Enhance capability to collaborate and lead teams
- Extend knowledge of the Sarnoff community and learn how to leverage your personal network
- Gain deeper understanding of how to market ideas and influence stakeholders
- Learn from the career lessons of Sarnoff Senior Leaders
Participants will have the opportunity to hear from leaders within the Sarnoff Community and engage in intimate dialogue with these leaders and other Alumni. The program will utilize a variety of methods including personal leadership assessments, mini-lectures and facilitated discussions, and a collaboration-oriented experience.
There is no charge for Sarnoff Alumni to attend this retreat the Sarnoff Foundation will pay for your travel and lodging to attend the retreat. Please do not make travel arrangements to attend the retreat until you receive a confirmation from the Sarnoff Foundation. Your registration confirmation will contain more details on making travel arrangements.

Having an awareness of your personal Leadership style is a critical management capability. Gaining this insight through reflection and analysis of a broad range of leadership styles helps illuminate strengths and developmental opportunities. This session will utilize a self-assessment instrument and offer guidance on how to utilize that self-awareness in the process of collaborating and coaching others. |
